Beweging Door de Dag Heen Moet Topprioriteit Worden op Scholen

7 oktober 2022 ​​​​​​​De mentale gezondheid van jongeren hangt ook af van de lichamelijke conditie, volgens een recent onderzoek van dr. Esther Hartman, onderzoeker aan UMC Groningen. Dit onderzoek werd gefinancierd door de Hersenstichting en Nederlands Regieorgaan Onderwijs (NRO). Voldoende beweging kan namelijk de kans op mentale problemen verkleinen en heeft effect op cognitieve functies en de schoolprestaties. De cognitieve functies hangen bijvoorbeeld samen met snelheid en wendbaarheid.

Programme day Human Measurement Models: Creating Impact Through Models With More Accurate Prediction for Humans Through Interdisciplinary Collaboration

6 oktober 2022 On the 4th of October, researchers, non-profit organisations and companies gathered for the yearly Programme day Human Measurement Models. The theme of this day was to exchange knowledge about the development of new human measurement models which uses humans as a base: the so-called ‘human measurement models’. These models are based on human material, such as stem cells, tissue after an operation or ‘Organ-On-A-Chip’.

Onderzoek op Basisscholen en Verpleeghuizen Naar Effectiviteit Ventilatie en Luchtreiniging Om Verspreiding SARS-CoV-2 Te Verminderen

6 oktober 2022 Ventilatie en luchtreiniging kunnen bijdragen aan het verminderen van de verspreiding van het SARS-CoV-2 virus via de lucht in gebouwen. Maar waar moeten deze ventilatiesystemen en luchtreinigers aan voldoen om verspreiding te minimaliseren? Een samenwerkingsverband van twintig partners gaat de effectiviteit van verschillende systemen testen.

6 oktober 2022 Eenzaamheidsdeskundige Jeannette Rijks ontwikkelde de cursus Creatief Leven, waarmee eenzaamheid wordt aangepakt. Ze hielp mensen en leidde professionals op. Met subsidie van ZonMw lukte het haar een traject te doorlopen waardoor de cursus nu een erkende interventie is.

Grant Awarded by ZonMW & Heart Foundation: HEART4DATA Can Start Preparations for SELEQT-HF

6 oktober 2022 ZonMW & Heart Foundation have awarded a grant to the DVCA consortium HEART4DATA for SELEQT-HF. SELEQT-HF will be the first registry-based randomized clinical trial (RCT) in heart failure (HF) patients using the HEART4DATA infrastructure. The preparations for SELEQT-HF will start immediately under the leadership of researchers Peter van der Meer and Jeroen Schaap. They hope to show the first results within one and a half year.

Nieuw Centrum voor Kinderen van Ouders met Psychiatrische Problemen

5 oktober 2022 Een nieuw centrum, KOPP, is opgericht bij het Erasmus MC Sophia voor kinderen waarvan hun ouders psychische problemen hebben. Hier worden problemen op tijd herkend door de samenwerking van de afdelingen kinder- en jeugdpsychiatrie, psychiatrie en verloskundige. Zo kan er op tijd de nodige zorg en, indien nodig, preventie aangeboden worden.
